'KALAMAZOO?' to World Premiere in Kalamazoo!
On 6 April, 2006 'Kalamazoo?' will come back home.

A red carpet premiere event will take place at the Kalamazoo 10 theatre with media from all over the state in attendance, including live radio and television broadcasts.

Celebrity cast members Mayim Bialik, Josie Davis and Michael Boatman will be attending, as well as producers Joanna Clare Scott and Dana E. Kowalski, director David O'Malley and prominent officials from the city and state.

Although the premiere is an invitation only event, the public will only have to wait until 12.01AM on 7 April to have the opportunity to view the film in Kalamazoo. The film will also open in 5 other cities in theatres owned by Goodrich Quality Theatres on 7 April - West Columbia 7 (Battle Creek), Grand Haven 9, Holland 7 and ADA Lowell 5.

Advanced ticket sales for shows at the Kalamazoo 10 ONLY will begin on 17 March through the Goodrich website - www.gqti.com.

The film will open in theatres in Lansing, Jackson, Ann Arbor, Novi and Detroit during April and May.

The official awards of the SMMASH Film Festival will be held on October 30th. A panel of judges nominates and selects the winners in 12 categories.

'Kalamazoo?' has been nominated for:
  • Best Feature
  • Best Screenplay
  • Best Actress - Mayim Bialik
  • Best Actress - Joanna Clare Scott
  • Best Supporting Actress - Josie Davis
'Kalamazoo?' is one of only two films receiving the most nominations!

So, get out to Minneapolis and check out this multi-Tastie nominated piece of cinema!!


'KALAMAZOO?' GETS SMMASH'ed!

The festival circuit continues for 'Kalamazoo?' as it will be one of the highlighted films showing in the 5th Annual SMMASH Film Festival in Minneapolis this month! The festival runs October 21 to October 27 at the Excelsior Dock Theatre.

'Kalamazoo?' will been screened as part of this festival on:

  • October 22 @ 7.00pm (followed by a Q&A with Producers and Director)
  • October 25 @ 5.00pm
  • October 27 @ 7.00pm

In addtion, producers Joanna Clare Scott and Dana E. Kowalski will be part of a panel of guest speakers at the Filmmaker Forum on October 22 @ 3pm.

KALAMAZOO? TO SCREEN IN TEMECULA AND WESTWOOD!

'Kalamazoo?' has been invited to screen at two California film festivals.

The Temecula Valley Film Festival runs 14 September - 18 September and 'Kalamazoo?' will have three showings: 15th at 9pm, 16th at 5pm and 17th at 7pm. More information about this fest and how to attend can be found at: www.tviff.com

The film will also be part of the inaugural Westwood International Film Festival, 30 September - 13 October. 'Kalamazoo?' will screen at this festival in the heart of Los Angeles on October 1st at 1.30pm. The Westwood fest will take place at the historic and majestic Crest Theatre in Westwood Village and should draw a prestigious crowd. In Memory

Londinium Productions is deeply saddened by the loss of Shawn Harnden. The 17-year old Gull Lake High School student, who was an extra in the scenes shot at Sweetwaters Donut Mill (pictured above), died in a car accident on May 24.

Producers Dana E. Kowalski and Joanna Clare Scott had the pleasure of viewing his animation piece which was a submission in the Teen Filmmaker Festival hosted by the Kalamazoo Public Library, which Kowalski and Scott attended as guest judges. Kowalski spoke with him afterwards about his work and ambitions and reflected that Harnden was "...a very genuine and talented individual with the type of positive outlook and hard working attitude it takes to be successful in the entertainment industry." Additionally, Kowalski shared the screen with him during her cameo spot at Sweetwaters.

Our thoughts are with his family, and we are happy that he was part of our production, and honored that his involvement in the film the was one of his favorite memories. If you would like to learn more about Shawn, please visit the link below:

The film was officially completed at the end of March!

The next step is marketing and distribution, and this process began on April 28th with a successful industry screening in Los Angeles.

Post-production continues. Delivery for sales & distribution will be early February, 2005.
Many thanks to Mark Johns for the recent publicity on the 'Today Show'. For anyone who did not catch this effort live, Mark showed up TWO DAYS IN A ROW to display his 'Kalamazoo?' sign prominently for the cameras behind Matt, Katie & Al during their outdoor segment!

Production wrapped at 6am on August 11! The film is now in post-production with a delivery scheduled for mid-December.
