The Production Team
Dana E. Kowalski, Producer
Dana is a native of Kalamazoo, and a graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School. She holds a Bachelor of Science
in Finance from DePaul University in Chicago, and studied television production and editing at Richmond University
in London, England. Dana has a widespread knowledge of market research, budget allocation and management. She
has worked with National City, Harris Bank and Merrill Lynch and as a portfolio accountant for Driehaus Capital
Management in Chicago. Dana also has a background in motion picture exhibition.
Joanna Clare Scott, Producer/Writer
Joanna wrote the screenplay for the film. She is also a native of Kalamazoo and a graduate of Kalamazoo Central.
Her extensive background in theatre began at age five and she was an active member of the Kalamazoo Civic Players
for fourteen years. She trained as an actress in London, England at The Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and
continued to work in London both on stage and in television, including the acclaimed series, KAVANAUGH, Q.C..
Joanna also has a background in marketing and worked for a top law firm in London developing marketing strategies
for their corporate law department.
David P. O'Malley, Producer/Director
David also originally hails from Michigan and has written, directed and produced numerous feature films, TV series
episodes and network television movies. Among his many credits are the feature films KID COLTER, EDGE OF HONOR,
MOUNTAIN MAN, THE BOOGANS, HANGAR 18, AWESOME LOTUS, FIVE FACES, BEYOND THE WIND RIVER and the MGM comedy FATAL
INSTINCT directed by comedy legend Carl Reiner. His television credits include MORK & MINDY, JOHN DENVER'S ROCKY
MOUNTAIN CHRISTMAS, THE LIFE & TIMES OF GRIZZLY ADAMS and others. Among his network television movies are THE
INCREDIBLE ROCKY MOUNTAIN RACE and THE NASHVILLE GRAB.
Michael Meltzer, Executive Producer
Michael is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He has produced ten feature films
including the Sci-Fi classic THE HIDDEN, UP THE CREEK starring Tim Matheson and Stephen Furst, SOMETIMES THEY
COME BACK . . . AGAIN starring Academy Award winner Hilary Swank, and DEADHEAT starring Treat Williams and Joe
Piscopo. Before producing he served as director of development for Jon Peters and Barbra Streisand's production
company. During his tenure with Peter and Streisand EYES OF LAURA MARS was produced which starred Faye Dunaway and
Tommy Lee Jones, THE MAIN EVENT starring Streisand and Ryan O'Neal was on the fast track to production, and the highly
successful comedy CADDY SHACK, starring Bill Murray, was in the very early stages of development. Michael also
developed material for Mike Medevoy, then president of Orion Pictures. In addition to producing, Michael has a
successful management company representing talent, which includes the director Charlie Matthau.
Morris Ruskin, Executive Producer
Morris began his career as a development executive for Zupnik Enterprises, where he developed a number of projects with ‘A’-list talent. In 1992, after receiving critical praise for co-producing the David Mamet-scripted Glengarry Glen Ross, he established his own company, Shoreline Entertainment, that not only develops and produces feature films but also includes a sales and distribution arm. Since the company’s inception he has produced or executive-produced such diverse films as New Line Cinema’s Price of Glory, starring Jimmy Smits, David Mamet’s Lakeboat and Man From Elysian Fields.
Andrea Thornton, Associate Producer
Andrea is a graduate of The Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London and has theatre, film and television
credits in the UK. She is a director of Brick & Pin Films Ltd, an independent production company which is
gearing up to produce the psychological thriller MIND OVER MATTER, starring John Hannah.
